Hello All - I hope I'm attaching my kitchen plans correctly! I would like any & all opinions on my plan. I don't have a lot of space to work with (I swoon in envy @ some of the kitchens I have seen while lurking!).

My husband and I started our kitchen remodel a few years (!) ago and ran into financial problems, so had to put it on hold until we recovered. Thankfully, we have recovered and built up a few 1,000 in savings specifically for kitchen cabinets. As of today, our semi finished kitchen consists of the following: an installed dishwasher and sink on 1 wall - no upper cabinets on this wall. Across from these is our stove (installed but able to be shifted right or left by up to 2 feet either way) a temporary kitchen cart that has served as limited storage and worksurfaceand our fridge. Our Fridge, Dishwasher and Sink can't be moved at all. We can get a great deal from a local friend on stone counters so while our IKEA plan shows a basic counter, we are actually ordering that locally once our cabinets are in place. My Husband Brother & myself will be picking up, assembling and installing the cabinets. We know this will be time consuming but we are up to the task!
Some particular Items...
1. The "brown" cabinet (lower) and dishwasher are not able to be moved and are already in place (although the ones in the plan are not to the correct size).
2. The stove can be shifted a foot or so in either direction. The Fridge needs to stay where it is.
3. We can't knock out any walls or close up any doors from how this is laid out. the Living Room/Entry shares the wall the Stove/Fridge is on, the Family Room/Den shares the wall the Sink/dishwasher is on. The wall between these (has a floor vent) is the back of a very small utility room and the other end of the kitchen shares a wall with our son's bedroom. In the future we are considering a built in banquette w/ IKEA cabinets on the wall by the french doors/opening outside & to the Living Room.
4. We measured and remeasured, and remeasured (LOL) the room, placement of the electrical, HVAC, Sink, fridge, stove etc. These measurements are pretty true to life and all windows, doors, etc are accounted for.
5. Am I not allowing enough space between the counter and the wall cabinets? I am hoping to be able to use the 39 inch cab's vs the 30. As it's a small kitchen/house, I need as much storage as I can get!
I appreciate any suggestions, insight, opinions etc. I wish I had known about this site long before, like when we first gutted this area in the begining our of project, I would have probably changed the layout some, but in reality, we don't have a lot to work with here.
