I have desperately been trying to get a plug in, wall mounted lamp at a very cheap price. I am extremely happy with the Minut wall lamp but I want to modify it in two ways.
First, I want to shorten the length of the cord.
Second, I want to move the in-line switch further from the lamp itself.
I think the easiest and cheapest option would simply be to shorten the original cord and then rewire the lamp. The problem I have is figuring out how to get the base/socket open so that I can access where the wires are attached to the socket. Twisting, turning, pushing, all seem to be ineffective against this stubborn little socket. Any one have some ideas to help me? It would be so appreciated!
